To allow either MetaCreations Painter 3D or Art dabbler 2 on Windows XP just
follo these simple instructions.
1) Right click "My Computer" and click "Properties."
2) Click on the "Advanced" tab.
3) Under "Performance" click the "Settings" button.
4) Click the "Advanced" tab.
5) Under "Virtual Memory" click the "Change" button.
6) Click the "Custom Size" radio button and change the "Initial size (MB)"
to 1000.
Click "OK" a couple of times and restart your machine.
All this does is allow a smaller amount of memory to be used as the starting
point for the virtual memory setting.
Now both of these programs, and probably many other older versions of other
software, will run on Windows XP.
