Making Labels for Holiday Cards

Hello,
I worked with the MS Millenium software in the past and
have now Windows XP on my new Dell Dimension 4600
computer. It would help immensely if I could generate
address labels for my holidy cards on the computer, but I
don't remember the process. Couldn't find anything under
Help. Can you direct me to the source for this info?
My printer is an HP Photosmart 7960 ink jet.

Hi, Is this a new PC with Windows XP? Most likely you don't have any
software installed to make Cards. Find out the software you used in Windows
ME and install it on your PC. Windows doesn't include a program suited to
make Greeting Cards.

Neither Windows Me nor Windows XP has the ability to make address
labels. This is a function of an application program, not an
operating system.

Do you have a word processing program installed--Microsoft Word
or Corel WordPerfect, for example? These don't come with any
version of Windows. If you don't have one, you need to get such a
program.

have addressed the 200 envelopes myself. Did you get an

What APPLICATION software do you have installed? Windows
98, 98se, ME, NT, 2000 and XP are operating systems and do
not include any applications, they are the platform those
applications run within.
If your old computer had W98 AND it was shipped with a
bundle of software, such as MS WORKS, OFFICE, WordPerfect or
something else in an application, then it is that or those
applications you need to install on your bare Windows XP
machine.
