Thats a very basic page with no information at all. I would suggest that
you contact the author and ask what the minimum system requirements are.
It is entirely possible that this is designed for IE 6 only, perhaps
Windows XP is required as well.

Microsoft's MSN Toolbar http://toolbar.msn.com/ will permit tabbed
browsing, and may be an alternative for you.

Even better why don't you try Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/ .

If you need tabs, there is a LOT of tabbed Ie based browsers out there:
Maxthon, Avant, GreenBrowser...

Ok, Thanks to all who responded. First I have been using a few of the Tabbed
Browsers ( Using SlimBrowser right now). I was hoping that this IETab.exe
would solve the problem of having to use another browser. I finally got it
working this morning. Had to check off allow 3rd party browser extensions
and then Check IETab in Toolbar view.
Some shortcomings i found in using it tho:
1. Clicking HOME does not open a new Tab.
2. You Must right click and select open in new window for it to open a new
tab. (Middle click don't do it)
3. Opening a Favorite does not open in a new Tab.
( I wrote the Author about these.)

Yes, very exciting. I need to have this. BTW, does anyone know of a
utility which will help me keep track of 180 opened web pages when I
surf the great new way?

Joe, in most of the IE Shell Browsers, this is all configurable. i.e. you
can go into settings and TELL the browser what to do when you click on Home,
or a Favorite, or when you middle-click. Try Maxthon or Avant.

after the install of IETab.exe, I right clicked the toolbar and
selected IETab. At the right end of the Yahoo tool bar appeared the
IETab. I had to drag it down to the space below the yahoo tool bar.
see sample here: http://www.nuboy-industries.com/IETab.jpg
left click image to full screen.
This seems very primitive but if you left click the tap you get the
same as in the dropdown on the address bar.
There is only one tab and a right click will give you everything you
have visited with options.

Thanks Old Gringo George, I didn't realize a right click on a tab had a drop
down. Make IETab a little more useful.
Asi I mentioned a new tab will open if you right click on a link on a page
and click open in new.
BTW, Nice Web Page you have with great links.

I had tried Firefox back at version 1.0 and 1.1. I was not to happy with the
way it was. Is 1.5 any better?
I am well aware of many of the tabbed browser as I have tried them all and
configured them to my liking.

Hi,

It took some time until I understood how that thing works because I only
got a single tab.

After you have enabled the IETab toolbar and put it in view, right-click
it (not the tab) and check "Enable new tabs at the current location".
From now, each time you hit Ctrl-N, you get a new tab. You can then
navigate to a new page.

Very practical.

Very practical

I spoke too fast.

The tabs are not managing real IE windows. There's only one display
window. Each time you click on a tab, that single page is reloaded from
the URL the tab is referring to. So if you have a form on a page, fill
it in partially, go to another tab and come back to the form, your data
are lost.

Thanks for that info. I am a staunch FireFox user and only on very
rare occasions do I use IE (Windows Update) :) I believe the IETab
follows the Maxthon browser tabs of sorts. Thanks again & Good Luck.
