Making a Test Site

I've created an empty web in FP2000 to do my fiddling around in. I want my
"real" web in there to play with. Question: Do I copy it, import it, or
publish it from one to the other?

If both Webs are local, I would import your files. I have copied files in
the past without problem, but I always prefer to import.

If your "Real Web" is only on the remote server, I would publish.

Always publish complete webs. Import should be restricted to individual
files, or where the source web cannot be opened in FrontPage (no server
extensions).

Importing will not copy over unlinked files, databases, themes, shared
borders and include files - only those files that are directly linked
through the Home page.

Why not Publish your real web to you HD under a different name, then fiddle as you will?

I should have waited a bit longer for your answers. As you say, the import
didn't work. I'll start over and publish.
