Making a slide show

Have windows XP home edition. Up untill just the other day I could copy jpeg images to a CD as a slide show. I used this to give a series of photos to friends so all they have to do insert the disk into their PC and "bingo" they see an instant slide show. The wizard used to give me an option of making a regular CD or making a "Slide Show". The wizard no longer shows me that option. Now I get this option: "Do you want to make a HighMATT-compatable CD?" If I say yes I get a CD I can't play properly. If I say no, then the Wizard begins writing to the CD without giving me a choice to make a "Slide Show". To sum up I can't make a "Slide Show anymore. WHY? I need Help!

I have not seen this issue discussed before but
maybe going to Add-Remove Programs and
uninstalling the: "HighMAT Extension to Microsoft
Windows XP CD Writing Wizard" would be a
place to begin.

Then you may want to reinstall the "CD Slide
Show Generator" from the following site.
Maybe that will restore your slide show option.

Windows XP PowerToys / free download

Proceed at your own risk...good luck.

Hi John; Thank you for the information. Shortly after posting my message I did think of deleting the HighMATT program. That did not change the operation of the wizard. But good logic on your part. Your other advice about reinstalling the slide show seems to be GREAT! The Power Toy download seems to be even better than the original Microsoft version. I have yet to make a CD with the slide show I made, but I am confident (with some reservation) that it will work to my expections. Thank you - Thank you - Thank You
