Me too. And given the size/mass of the thing, you have to wonder why it
doesn't come with the CPU already built in. 8>.

"Amusing" might be one way of describing it, though the first word
that came to mind for me was "obscene"! That thing is friggin' HUGE!
It's bigger than the power supply. It's definitely now the largest
component in the system.

doesn't come with the CPU already built in. 8>.

Interesting question (speaking seriously here): I wonder which costs
more to produce, the CPU or the thermal module? My bets are on the
thermal module.

I wonder if that wasn't the ultimate goal. Remember when CPUs could be
bought (packaged retail product) without the HSF? They felt that "size matters"
(and weight) so started packaging the CPUs with HSFs. The silly games that
boys play. LOL!
