Making a calendar?

Yesterday i wanted to make a birthday calendar. I searched and searched
.... nothing! Isn't there any free program around to make a calendar in
a easy way?

Okay, i know the job can be done with (open)office. But i'm looking for
a standalone program that alos fills all the days, can add pictures etc.
