Making a bootable copy of windows xp

Hi,

I have a bootable windows xp pro sp2 CD, and i wish to make a bootable
CD copy of it. Can i know the steps for doing so?

Since your source CD is already bootable, it is sufficient for
you to make a carbon copy of it. It will be bootable too.

You need 3rd party CD burning software that will do a disk to disk copy.
It can't be done with native XP tools.
 
Can't it be done by extracting the content of the CD to my hard disk
and then copying it to a new CD?

Simply follow the instructions provided with whatever CD-burning
application you have installed to copy the disk.

No, you need third-party software. I don't know why you are so resistant
to using the correct tool for the job. If you don't want to spend money
on burning software, you can use this one which is free and excellent:

It can be done if you know what you are doing. We have done it ever
since slipstreaming was first introduced. We need to improvise the
method to get the result.
