Make Voting Buttons stand out

Is there a way to change the appearance of the voting buttons or to make the
stand out so people notice them?

Not unless you're in an Exchange environment where you can publish a custom
form to the Organizational Forms library. I usually just put VOTE in my
subject line.

I'd like to see the buttons stand out more, also. This is clearly a step
back from the 2003 version in which the buttons were prominent. I got rid of
my ribbon because it is so unproductive so I do not always see the voting
buttons. Is there any chance that the buttons can return?
