I am creating a quote template on 1 tab and would like to have my costing on
another tab in the same work book so that some cells will fill automatically.
How would I keep my customers from seeing my costing on the 2nd tab? Excell

Hi,

You can do all sorts of things:-
Hide the sheet tabs
Hide the sheets
Make the sheets very hidden
Apply sheet protectin

But in the end all of these things are totally ineffective against anyone
wanting to see your sheets and with the ability to do a Google search. If you
want to keep a sheet private then don't send it.

Given the weakness of Excel's internal security the general rule is.........

If you don't want them to see it, don't include it in the workbook.

You could make the costing sheet xlveryhidden but a determined snooper will find
a way to make the sheet visible.
