error message "Make sure your using IE6.0 or newer and that ActiveX has been
enabled in your browsers security settings"
I've enabled ActiveX.
os: XP
ie version: 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519CO
computer: HP Pavilion 7915
sbc dsl

problem: sites are not recognizing that I have IE6, how do I get a
new/different version of IE6

Hi,
Is your firewall or another security/privacy program blocking UserAgent,
http_referer, header information? Look through the settings of those
programs to see of one of them is blocking that information.

Go to http://gemal.dk/browserspy/ and click on Headers Information to see if
your User-Agent information is being sent out.
