Make Suggestion/Voting Option Available on All Discussion Group

Making a suggestion and having the discussion group vote on it where the
vote might influence MS, is only available on the Web-based interface and is
not available in the newsreader versions of Vista General Discussions.
Sometimes a Suggestion will be put through to the newsreader versions and it
tells you to click on a link to the Web-based Vista General Discussions where
you can vote on it.

Apparently the newsreader version of iE General Discussions has
Suggestion/Voting as an option under the New post drop-down menu along with
General Comment & Question. My suggestion is to make the Suggestion/Voting
option available on all newsreader versions as well as the Web-based versions.

This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the
suggestions with the most votes. To vote for this suggestion, click the "I
Agree" button in the message pane. If you do not see the button, follow this
link to open the suggestion in the Microsoft Web-based Newsreader and then
click "I Agree" in the message pane.

It's an interesting concept, but there's no way to make some feature of
a web interface (and the MS web interface is just a front end for normal
Usenet newsgroups) available to newsreaders. Most of the regular helpers
in the MS newsgroups use a real newsreader instead of the web interface
which you are using - and there are lots of different newsreaders, not
just Windows Mail (Vista) or Outlook Express (older MS OSs). While MS
might be able to put a button on their own application, they can't do
that on third-party newsreaders.
