Make empty subreport disappear

Hi,

I have a normalized students database, with a separate table for the
students' clubs, activities, hobbies, awards, etc.

Since some students have more than one of each, I am using subreports within
a main report to create a page for each student showing all of their info.

If a particular student has no clubs, the empty space is still generated in
the main report. Is there a way to just make Access go on to the next piece
of the main report and not leave the empty space?

Thanks,

John

Changed it, but it didn't help. Access still skips the line and the next
subreport comes up after this white-space.

Wait. I just switched to Print Preview and saw that the space is gone! But it
still shows the space in Layout View.

Why is that?

Thanks so much for the help! If you could explain why it does that, I would
be even more appreciative!

Thanks again,

John

Don't worry about the Layout View since users should only see the Print
Preview or the printed report.
