major trouble

I'm in big trouble and I really hope that someone can help me out of it. I have a very large spread sheet that I sorted to try to get data more accessable. The sheet is now a mess. Is there any way to recover from this with as little pain as possible? Please say yes and mean it.

You didn't sort all the columns when you sorted???

If yes, then if you can still do Edit|undo, you're ok.

But there's no magic to get this back in its rightful state.

Maybe a backup from yesterday??? Or a copy of an emailed version that can be
returned to you???)
