Major System Restore Problems

Hello. System restore has apparently halted on my computer. When I run compmgmt.msc and check the system there are tens of sr and srservice errors. I cannot make points and I have tried many different solutions but nothing seems to work. Is there a certain amount of space needed for it to be ON. Ever since the problems started Windows Media Player and my CD Burner stopped working. The CD player reads everything except music and burnt CD's (but it reads normal program CD's.)

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you

System Restore will require a considerable amount of disk space. A couple
of hundred megabytes won't cut it. I do not use the System Restore feature
as I have never seen it actually work. I have it disabled thus saving
system resources.

Well, I bet there are very many people who have "seen it actually work". And
when it does, it saves a hell of a lot of frustrating work trying to
troubleshoot problems. You do need to make sure that you have disk space
available on each drive monitored, however.
