I have a P4C800 main board with a Pentium 3.0GHz processor. In device
manager the computer shows as "ACPI Multiprocessor PC" instead of "ACPI
Uniprocessor PC" and there are also two identical entries of "Intel(R)
Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz" under processors. Does anyone know why this might
be happening and what the implication are?

Also SiSoft Sandra is failing on the memory bandwidth test (have 4x512Mb of
333 RAM) with "Insufficient resources or memory". Has anyone else had a
similar problem?

Thanks,

- Clive

I've solved this one - its the hyperthreading that makes it appears as two
processors. I still don't have an answer to the SiSoft Sandra problem
though!

The P4 3.0 GHz has HYPER-THREADING. It shows up in your system correctly as
two processors.
