Along the top of IE there is a 'header' bar which shows
the name of the web page that you are at + Microsoft
Internet Explorer provided by ......(the name of an old
ISP in my case). How can I get rid of this irritating
intrusion on both IE and OE?

Go to Start | Run and type:
rundll32.exe iedkcs32.dll,Clear
