mailto link size limitations

[GroupReader]

When creating a "mailto link" (http://mailto:[email protected]), I
hear that IE6 has a limit of 2083 characters.

Does anyone know if this limit is expanded/changed for IE7?

I'd like to create a mailto link that includes the subject and body...
which could easily go over 2000 chars in my circumstance (especially
when url-encoded).

Someone in the IE7 group may know.
I see in http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx that
the recommended newsgroup is microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

In a proper newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

If you must use a web interface:
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...?dg=microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general
