mailto hyperlink sorting

I have created "mailto:" links in my worksheet but when I
sort by different columns, the hyperlink seems to stay
with the cell - not with the text it should be attached
to. Even though the text sorts correctly, when I go
to "edit > hyperlink" the link is incorrect. How do I
permanently attach the link to the text so that my links
are correct no matter how I sort?

Cells don't move when you sort, the information in the cells move. The
hyperlinks are part of the cell - not the information in the cell.

Use the hyperlink worksheet function rather than insert hyperlink if you
want them to move.
