Mailing a 2007 document

I want to e-mail a document (xxx.doc) but when I try to insert it the title
changes to xxx.docx and I can't change it.

I've sent similar documents to the same person in the past with no problem.

Hi Mary,

Word 2007's default file type is .docX. It's a new structure for documents. If you want to use .doc then use
Office Button=>Save As
and select the Word 97-2003 document type rather than 'Word Document'
