mailboxes clean up tools

I would like you to try to find some tools that will allow
me to apply per-mailbox and per-folder policies to our
Exchange 5.5 mailboxes. For example, I'd like to be able
to say: delete everything in everyone's deleted items
folder older than 180 days. Also, delete everything in Joe
Smith's inbox older than 90 days, but only delete things
in Margre G's inbox older than 180 days.

Best posted in an Exchange group - microsoft.public.exchange.admin should be
a good one. I know that mailbox manager can accomplish some of these things,
but not different settings per mailbox - if you were using Exchange
2000/2003 Enterprise, you could use different mailbox stores and run the
polices against the stores - don't think there's an equivalent in 5.5.

Frankly, what I prefer, is to use mailbox quotas (apply default settings for
the store, a few individuals who require other settings get them), and not
worry about the age of items - leave it up to the user to delete older items
when they start running out of space.

Note - posting your valid e-mail address in a newsgroup post, or in your
news account settings, is a surefire way to get spam and SWEN and other
viruses sent to you....see http://www.mailmsg.com/SPAM_munging.htm for help
in the future, but note that now that your address is out there, there's not
much you can do other than changing your address.
