mail stuck in outbox

I compose emails and they pile up in outbox but won't send, I have to delete
them eventually. Checked smtp and other settings, seems ok. Can receive no
problem running xp sp2

Hi Kathleen

Sometimes it just hans at "preparing to send and receive", or "sending 1 of
1". When I test the settings in the email axccount they all work, outlook 2003
 
What does your application event viewer tell you? Are there any Office or
Outlook-related errors?
