Mail Rules Not Working

I have set up a few different rules for deleting junk
email from the server before its downloaded into my
computer. I have set it up on subject lines and content
in message body. Its not working at all. Does anyone
have any suggestions? I am getting so much junk for Rx
drugs and mortgage companies! Most of which have no
sender or subject, so I saw the rule that you could pull
words or phrases from the message body. I have pulled
words directly off the emails, spelled incorrectly and
all.

Thank for any help!!

I have the same problem ,I have a rule that says delete certain words in a
message body.I always get mail with the exact message,.caps and all. I've
clicked all the applys and OK's

Outlook rules do not work at the server level since they require the mail to
actually download to the in-box before they start working.

What version of Outlook are you using?

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000 & 2002 from the Office
family for Windows PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting in one
of
these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...blic.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress
for OE 5.5x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...ublic.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
for OE 6.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...;newsgroupsmicrosoft.public.internet.mail.mac
for the Macintosh version of OE
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...ess.mac&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:

Version 6 .... Thank you I did not know that. It was an
option so I made that mistake of assuming it would work.

As you now know, Outlook and Outlook Express are 2 different programs.
