Ok guys how come some of my newsgroup are highlighted red

Yo Dragon--

Perhaps it's set that way at Tools>Options>Read tab>Highlight watched
messages with red selected in the pulldown.

Ok guys how come some of my newsgroup are highlighted red

I'm guessing you have clicked the monitor option of some thread in the
highlighted newsgroup. Whenever a new reply is posted in that thread you're
noticed by your email client, which highlights both the newsgroup and the
thread. If you're using Windows Mail or Outlook: Click on the glasses
besides the thread to stop monitoring.

Because they contain an unread message in a thread marked as Watched.
