When I had Windows 2000 it was so easy to do a mail merge.
Now with XP I am totally confused. Please help. thanks.

Works pretty much the same way. Look different but concepts are all the same.

Hi Rose,

The fact that you went from Windows 2000 to XP should not have affected the
way you do mail merges.

Do you have MS Word -- or Works -- in the XP system? If you don't, then that
could be the reason that you are having confusion. It's not the Operating
System that performs mail merges. It is the applications.

I've never done a mail merge, so I don't know much about how it works, but
I'm guessing the problem is not with 2000 and XP, but rather the program you
are using to do mail merges. For instance, are you now using a brand new
computer? If that's the case, you may have a newer version of Microsoft
Works or Microsoft Office, which may perform some operations differently.
My wife had a problem opening old MS Works files on a new XP computer, and
she kept telling me she hated XP, when in fact it wasn't XP's fault at all.
:) It was a newer version of Works.

Good luck with the problem.
