Mail Merge

In Word 2003 I am trying to mail merge a large amount of cell data into a
document. Most of them work except for one column. The imported data gets
truncated every time. Any suggestions?
 
And the data is coming from Excel?

I understand that what you need to do is put a dummy record as the first
record in the file and make sure that the entry in that column exceeds 255
characters.

What are you using as a record source? If it is an XL file, that may be the
cause of the problem. I believe there is still a factor with large amounts of
content in any one cell.

You might try outputting the XL data as a Word table and use that as the
record source for your merge.
