Mail merge

During the set up of mail merge, the Address Block becomes highlighted and I
can't turn off the highlighting. How do I turn off highlighting in Address
Block?

Don't use the address block. Just insert the actual fields that you want to
use in the configuration that you want.

I am having the same problem. Even without the address block I cannot turn
off the highlighting in my mail merged fields. Any help?

Do you mean tools > options > view > field shading? Change the option to
'when selected'.
or do you mean text formatting? In which case add a \*charformat switch to
the offending field(s).
