Mail Merge showing ID infomation instead of data

I have set up a mail merge in word that drags information from an Access
Database. The field reference in CUSTOMER NAME, the data is shown in the
main table in access but when merging to word it is showning as a number. I
beleive that this is the ID reference from the access database (There are a
number of linked tables to the main table within Access). Does anyone have
any ideas on how to fix this issue so that the data in the word mailmerge is
showing actual customer name.

Hope that this makes sense....................MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE !!!

Sounds like you have a combo in your table, and the real names actaully are
in another table?

Create a query that has both tables. You can then drag the real name field
into the grid, and use that in your merge.

Many of us don't like combos in tables, because it confuses everyone about
what data is really there. Combos belong on forms, not in tables. More info
about that:
