Hi

I have a word based web page that has a hyperlink to a Word mail merge document that sits on a shared server. When the hyperlink to the mail merge document is clicked, word mail merge document is opened up in Internet Explorer. This is fine, but for some reason the mail merge toolbar is inactive and I cannot get it to become active!

Is there a way to make the mail merge toolbar active (so I connect to a different data source) or is there a way I can force the hyperlink to open up the actual Word application as oppsed to opening up Work in IE??

Thanks in advance
Paul

Hi =?Utf-8?B?UGF1bA==?=,

I'm not sure, but I think what you need to do is turn off the "Browse in same
window" setting for the *.doc file type in Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder
options/File Types/[select doc]/Advanced
