Mail Merge from Word HTML

Is it possible to use the Word Mail Merge feature (XP) and
still have the option of using HTML text within the body
of the email message (not as an attachment?) Get an error
message in Mail Merge if I try to do this. Can only use
plain text?

Merges in HTML format are permitted in Outlook 2002, but not in earlier
versions.
Check your Outlook version again.

HTML should work. What is the error? Note that this feature is a Word
feature and not an Outlook feature.
