Hi All,

I have a Slight Confusing Problem, and Looked into changeing format

In My Table and Query I Have My Return Date Field Set to dd/mm/yyyy

But Since of created my mail merge and works correcttly, But The
Return Date Field When Pulled Over Into Word the date Shows as mm/dd/
yyyy

I Can't change the Format i word as when i click the edit field in
word,

So How Do I Go About Changing the Field?

Best Regards

Dan

Other users or other PCs with a different setting will see the Word document
according to their settings. If that's not an issue, this method works. But
if it is, it's easier to just set the format you want in the Word document.
We got a lot of good information from Word MVP sites - look for "switches".

example: {MERGEFIELD CourtDate \@ "dddd, MMMM d, yyyy"} gives the date like
July 14, 2007, etc.

Thank you for the response Lungta,

Ye i managed to find that solution on the microsoft support website,
didnt relise that following {MERGEFIELD CourtDate \@ "dddd, MMMM d,
yyyy"} gives the date like would have to be setup on every one pc,
but surley, if the MailMerge Is has that saved in the template, who
ever access's it would get the same result? regardless of which pc
they use?

Yeah, that's all I'm saying, if the switch is in the actual Word mail merge
document, it overrides their machine settings so that every user gets the
same format. (The above switch will actually give you "Friday, July 13,
2007", not what I wrote before - sorry about that.)

Thanks you thats sorted now,

You ANy Good at Links and Drop down filtering?

I have a linked table to a projects table, which stores all drawings
to that related project.

then i have a enquiry table that enables me to create enquirys for the
project, and create a mailmerge etc then have a sent date update field
in a quiry so those enquiry dont come up again,

what ive just recently added is a drawing field so i can also select
what drawings im going to send with that project, but when i click on
the drawings combo list its shows all drawings for all projects, what
i want to be able to do is in the enquiry form, you first have to
select the project, whichworks, and then once the project is selected
i want to be able to click on the drawings drop down and only show
those drawings related to that project.

Check out Marshall Barton's reply on the post "filter query by current record
for combo box" (9/20/2006). If your form is single form it will be simpler
than this post on continuous forms. Good luck.
