Recently switched to vista and am now encountering a problem with sending
mail. the server I'm attempting to get to has a pretty high firewall. when
i send email i get the message "The remote server does not support delivery
status notification" i believe i need to turn off notification to send ??
i have to use the 'my server requires authorization' to send any email (if

Is this error message actually causing you problems? Usually you get this if
you request a delivery status notification on an outgoing e-mail but the
recipient's mail server doesn't support such notifications. It's just
telling you that it can't tell you whether or not the delivery was successful.

yes... I should have mentioned that error is quickly followed by the message
that the delivery failed and the recipient doesn't get the message
