mail delivery failure

OK, I didn't know the notices were always true to what the problem really
is. In fact I know sometimes they are not. Then I'm back to square one.
The original notice said Mail server for "comcast.net" unreachable for too
long". Feels like we've come full circle. I don't know if it has happened
again or not. Most folks don't bother telling you if it did. And sometimes
email never goes through but no notices are given at all, leaving a person
thinking someone is just ignoring them when, in actuality they never got a
message. At least with the notification you know it didn't go through.
Sometimes it is important enough that we have to resort to a phone call.
Back in time!

The non-delivery notices are usually accurate as to the reason for
non-delivery. Sometimes the notice is too generic and open to
interpretation, but that is not the case here.

If you have another account, like Hotmail, you should periodically
send email from your Hotmail account to your Comcast account.
That way you would be alerted whenever Comcast fails to accept
mail for you.

That's what's so confusing. Some of the email gets through while others are
bounced back.
Thanks again,
Nancy

That suggests that Comcast's email server is often not working, and
therefore unable to accept incoming mail, but sometimes working
and therefore accepting incoming mail.

Yes, we discussed this earlier. If you have lost confidence in
Comcast's ability to deliver incoming email to you 100% of the time,
then you should be using a different email provider.
