mail data client error after installing FrontPage 98, 2000

After installing FrontPage 98, 2000, when I click email links from any
website I receive the error message "cold not perform this operation because
the default mail client is not properly installed."

Prior to installing FrontPage, I was able to click email links on Web pages
or within documents. There are two other reps that installed FrontPage 98,
2000. They have the same problem. My default mail client is Microsoft
Outlook. It seems that the browser does not retain the path to Outlook once
FrontPage has been installed.

In IE, choose Tools, Internet Options, Programs, and make sure Email is set
to Microsoft Outlook.

If that doesn't solve the problem, try repairing Outlook from Control Panel,
Add / Remove Programs.
