I am creating a switchboard with reports, and I am curious if I can put a
Macro in button in my report.

I have already made the macro (to close the report), but I just don't know
if you can enter it in the report, or if it is only for the swichboard page.

Yes you can put a button in your report.

Melissa,

No, you can't have a button on a report.

You would normally close a report preview via the [x] Close button on
the report window itself. Alterrnatively you can use the File|Close
menu if available.

In point of fact, you *can* place a command button on a report, and it will
sit up there all bright and shiny as a new penny, and it'll be there when the
report prints, but it can't do a blessed thing! I have no idea why Access has
it available in the report design view! There are no events associated with
buttons on reports, so they can't *do* anything!

BTW, you can also place a combo box on a report, and assign values to it or
bind it to a Row Source, but it won't even show up on the report!

Ain't Access grand?

All seriousness aside, as Steve said, most anything you could reasonably want
to do with a report is available in Print Preview.
