Macros

I need a macro that will protect a form but allow for filling in the form
fields. Is there such a thing? When I hit record and then protect the form
for read only, it works, but when I protect it and leave filling in forms
enabled, my macro options disappear. Is there an easier way to do this?

Why not simply protect the form? What is the macro doing for you?

What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." Check this
