Macros Macros Macros - Is there anybody out there who is a whiz?

Quite simply, I have asked this question before but never received an answer.
In Access, or even Excel, is there a way to point the data contained in a
cell into a field or cell of another application or workbook? I have been
told that this process is called automation. Would somone please work with
me on this topic? Please... I am desperate.

No, you cannot accomplish that with macros, but only by VBA code. I suspect
you will get a good many hits if you visit http://groups.google.com and
search this newsgroup, other microsoft.public.access... newsgroups and the
USENET newsgroup comp.databases.ms-acess using the search words "COM
automation" and "OLE automation". Other sources to search using those search
words would include the Knowledge Base at http://support.microsoft.com and
http://msdn.microsoft.com. You might also browse around
http://office.microsoft.com to see if any of the online training there
addresses subjects of interest to you.

Believe me, COM automation is too extensive a subject for a newsgroup
response. For good suggestions on effective use of newsgroups, see
http://www.mvps.org/access/netiquette.htm.
