Macromedia substitutes....is it possible in freeware world?

Hi I'm an addict to the freeware world for Linux and Windows, in
fact, on my Windows my machine I try to use the less commercial
applications I can, but I have found some applications that I can't
replace, maybe by ignoracne that's why I post this here, searching for
solution.

First: I can't get rid of Macromedia Applications, no matter what I
do, I haven't found any tool (freeware) that can do what Macromedia
Fireworks do for me when I'm cutting an entire image to convert it to a
HTML web page, I mean, the slicer that turns you page in HTML code
automatically with just few clicks, does someone knows anything like
that but free???

Second: I have used NVU and I liked it, but....it doesn't parse php,
so I have to use and external editor for php, there's any WYSIWYG
application for web design that could manage any format (HTML, PHP,
ASP, XHTML....)?

Third: Nero. I haven't found any burner that can make my life so
easy as Nero does, I need a tool that let me copy my CDs/DVDs one to
one without any problems and, to make audio or data CDs/DVDs without
too much trouble and without having to rip first and then using the
application (for the DVD movies I meant).

Fourth and last one: VMWare, I can't find any Virtual Machine
Solution (freeware) that can make work any OS without problems as
VMWare does, I tried recently an open source Virtual Machine project,
but it could simulate only until Pentium I, what makes a real pain in
the ass for any commonly currently OS in the market (Ubuntu, for
example, which goes perfect on VMWare for Windows).

Well, I hope to receive advice in at least one of the tools I have
asked, I mean I really am pro-freeware world, so, I want to get rid of
the commercial appz I have, any suggestion people?

Same here - the only paid apps I have are Macromedia. How does NVU stack
up against Dreamweaver? This is essentially my daily work environment and
I need the speed and ease this provides.
