How can I modify the settings for the Macromedia Flashplayer on my WinXP?
(Get rid of it?)

The flash player is a third party piece of software
you can remove it by going to the control panel
and using add/remove software.
I've thought of the same thing, too many damn ads using it!
if you want to keep it, then you need to get something
like ad shield, to block the pop ups/flash ads, it will
block most, not all of them.

Using ad blocking software can block the flash ads by blocking where they come
from.
I use tweak xp pro 3 and it works perfect.
Cheers
