Macromedia Flashplayer 8 Doesn't Work

Hello,
I've downloaded the macromedia flashplayer and it doesn't work. I think i
know the reason why - it is because when a box came up asking if i wanted to
install and run the flashplayer, the person on my computer clicked no and
checked off "don't ask me again". How do i change the setting? Will this help
in making the flashplayer work again?

Download the program from an alternate source and save the download to your
Hard Drive and install it from there.

Not in my experience - the latest Flash 8 just does not work.

Go to Macromedia site, download the uninstaller & a copy of version 7,
uninstall 8 and reinstall 7.

Well it worked for me.
