Macro won't work with .dat extension

Hi

I have created a macro that outputs the results of a query to a .txt file.
Its transfer type is export delimited. Ideally however, I should be
outputting to a .dat file. When I specify the .dat extension, and then
attempt to run macro, I get the following error - "Cannot update. Database
or object is read only".

Has this problem been encountered b4?

There are probably KB articles for the newer versions of Access as well, but
the solution is the same for all. I believe that the articles only mention
Import, but the same holds true for Export as well.
