My macro positions a picture that I read from file and clicked on in a
specific location(move and resize), then adds a border. Macro is always
dimmed, however. Other macros are not dimmed.

Dimmed where?

There *is* no "Macro Run" button. There *are* several buttons that can run
macros. I could waste your time and mine speculating about it or I could ask
you to provide a *reasonable* amount of detail describing the problem. Guess
which has more appeal? ;-)

I'll make one guess:

You choose Tools, Macro, Macros (or press Alt+F8), then click on the name of
this macro in the Macro dialog box. When you do, the "Run" button remains
dimmed.

If that's it, fine. Otherwise, please describe in similar detail what you're
doing to get here.

Also post the macro code.

Despite what I would have guessed, the speculating seems to have more
appeal.

De gustibus non es disputandum (pity there're so many words ... the sentiment
would lend itself to becoming a fine TLA).
