Hello!
I have one application (not related to Office or anything) that I run every
day.
The process consists of launching the application, typing in username and
such, getting to screens, running commands from menu, and finally exiting
application.
The entire process is the same every morning. Rarely do things change.
I have been looking around for a long time trying to find macro recorders
that can help me automate the process, since the application itself is not
being helpful.
I found one macro recorder that works somewhat ok for all applications. But
it has issues. Among them, you cannot schedule something while the
screensaver is on, for example. The screen has to be physically there and all
buttons in the exact location. I cannot program the macro to run code.
I was wondering if there are any other tools out there that can help with
task automation outside Office (basically record mouse/keyboard action with
some awareness of the application). Ideally, this would be a Windows
application that would allow me to automate, but if not, any recommendation
is very welcome.
