Macro Recorder feature in PPT 2007?

The help files say there is no more Record Macro, but I can add the button to
the quick access toolbar.

Is the Record Macro feature truly axed or might it appear when the software
rolls out?

I don't recall having seen any announcements about this -- hard to say what MS
will do looking at it from outside MS. <g>

Janie,

This seems to be very bad news. The MVPs in the public PowerPoint NG are
really excellent and have given me lots of help but it would far better not
to trouble them quite so often if I could get a bit further under my own
steam first!

The macro recorder is one way to do this. That it is not kept up to date is
very poor.

The PowerPoint VBA area is obviously comprehensive but it is no way to get
started. David Marcovitz's book is aimed at using PowerPoint in education and
is very good but I need a book aimed specifically at learning the VBA
language fro PowerPoint and no such book appears to exist.

Come on Microsoft get the macro recorder updated soon!

Cheers,

Geoff
