Macro, drop down box and hyperlink

Ruth

Hi

I have some information that I have put into a few drop down boxes when each
thing is picked I want to jump down to a certain place in the workbook or
have a hyperlink come up that I can click. For example I have 2 drop down
boxes that I have picked
1st box - Accomodation Services 2nd box - Catering

Once Catering is selected I have a section of information that I have
entered into the same work sheet just further down (this is because I have a
lot of different information for different sections)
I am basically creating an information document for people!

I apologise if my explanation is rubbish it usually is but any help with
this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Might I ask what you need help with? Are you asking how to set this up?

Ruth,

I guess we have to ask how you plan on having it "lookup" the information,
this sounds almost like it is supposed to be a database with different fields
for the selections and a Memo field for the information you wish to display
after the selections are made.

Basically you would like the people to select from one drop box, and have
that selection populate another drop box with criteria to select a section of
information from lower in the Excel document? Doing this sort of thing is
Excel could be easier by creating all of your "subsections" (i.e. Catering)
into its own tab. After having the drop boxes selected, press a command
button to unhide the tab in which you want to display.

The easier idea would probably be to place this into Access, which is more
friendly for a lookup of this type. It would simply pull a record pertaining
to the selections of the drop boxes.

Question though, are the individuals going to be entering information into
the Excel document?
