I have installed a few machines in an office and configured backup. However
my backup fails some nights because it seems that the pc's are going into a
sleep mode and the backup server can not make a connection to the remote
pc's. When the users come in the next day they have to press the power
button to wake up or start up the machine. I have disabled hibernation on
all the machines, and have disabled system standby in the bios. What other
settings should I check?

I have set the HD to never turn off. Set system standby to never and
hibernation to never. only the monitor goes off after x minutes.

Then you shouldn't have problems anymore
