Mac Address not working with everyone XP Pro

We have setup a private DSL network at work. We are using a Symantic firewall VPN 100 and we are using Mac Addressing to identify keep the network only available to certain people. The people that are running Win 2000 can see the network okay. Anyone that is running XP Pro cannot see the network. Does anyone have any thoughts on what this issue may be?
 
Hi -

Just a guess, but I'd turn off the Internet Connection
Firewall on the XP machines. It's not designed to be
used on a local area network.
