d.

hello,
i'm running winxp pro, version 2002, sp1.

i'm trying to remove the "lsass.exe" from my processes
tab in task manager, but its saying its a system file and
i can not delete, or end process.
any suggestions. and when i went to do the removal in
the "Regedit" like it says on the security bulliten, its
not there.

is this "lsass.exe" the virus i want to eliminate?
i've run norton AV2003 w/ current updates, it found
nothing, i've run stinger, it found nothing. I did turn
off system restore to run these applications.
any suggestions would be most helpful.

The "lsass.exe" is a critical Windows XP system file.
Do not attempt to delete it!
