lsass.exe

I am using Symantec Internet Security 2003. A remote
computer keeps trying to access lsass.exe on my system.
What is lsass.exe for? Should I allow this?

Lsass is the LSA (Local Security Authority) service. It's hard to tell what
the remote machine is trying to do given little information.
If you run XP's Internet Connection Firewall you shouldn't get any
unsolicited connections. You can find info about this in Help.
