Problem Description:
--------------------
Computer keeps saying that the instruction at "0x00e2f878" referenced
memory at "0x0000023". the memory could not be "read". and it restarts
the system.

Report:
-------
When I got this "lsass.exe application error" few days after install
ion of Windows XP 2002 pro. The error message appears and in all cases
computer would be unstable and must be rebooted in 60 or more seconds.
I've got a good antivirus program then I thought it won't be a virus
infection problem. Like all people, I have no trust in Microsoft
updates. After you install all of them, your computer would be slow
and you would get tired easily of it. Then I chose only few important
updates to guarantee my computer security.

All other reviews suggested either to repair your windows session via
some re-installation procedure, or installing of Microsoft updates
against some virus related problems stuff. Both solution did not sound
good for me until I got what I need on Microsoft updates. I just
installed one update related to this problem and problem was
completely disappeared.

What I'm saying from experience now, Yes not all of these updates are
necessary but some of them are urgent and basic need for your system.
Work with Microsoft website, you safe your time solving any problem.

Good Luck

Hi,

This behavior occurs because the operating system does not
allocate a large enough buffer for the maximum string
length permitted. When the data is greater than the buffer
size, the Winlogon service terminates abnormally and your
computer generates the error message.

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack
for Windows XP. For additional information, click the

Hope this help!
